New Year's Eve Outfit

Skirt: Gap

Whenever I think of what to wear on New Year's Eve my mind instantly goes to sequins. I'm going to be wearing something like the outfit above in order to feel festive. We are going out to dinner to a new Italian restaurant and then we will be spending the rest of the night with friends and family drinking champagne and watching the ball drop on TV. What will you be wearing and what are your plans?

Geometric

I love the geometric pattern on this dress, and I especially love it paired with my new Old Navy coat. I purchased this dress during Vestique's after Christmas sale with my gift card (thanks Robert!). I wore this outfit to work and then out to P.F. Changs for dinner with my husband. Also I'm happy to announce that once I reach 100 followers on my blog I'll be doing a giveaway!

Camel Coat

Camel Coat
3. J Crew

My winter coat has seen better days. During the after Christmas sales I'm going to be on the hunt for a nice camel coat. I'm loving these options above especially #2 and 3. It's time that I look for a coat that's of nice quality instead of what's the cheapest price.

Holiday Cheer

There's been a lot going on at our apartment to prepare for Christmas including decorating the tree, shopping, wrapping, baking, and making a few gifts. Here's a wreath I made using this link. It was a little harder than I thought it would be, but I think it was worth it.

I also gave myself a holiday manicure yesterday to prepare for Christmas using red nail polish and gold glitter nail polish.
e.l.f: red velvet and sephora by OPI: only gold for me

First, apply either one or two coats of red nail polish

Then, add the gold glitter top coat
The last step is to spray some pam on your nails which prevents smudging.

What have you been doing to prepare for the holidays?

It's Time to Celebrate

Lately I've been very addicted to Pinterest. It's so easy to browse all of the pictures for hours without realizing how much time has passed. While on Pinterest I found all of these great outfit ideas for Christmas dinner from casual to dressy looks.

Christmas at the Biltmore

Last week my husband and I took a trip to Asheville to visit the Biltmore and the Grove Park Inn. This trip definitely put me in the Christmas spirit and we finally got to experience some cold weather. Seeing the Biltmore house at night with all 55 of its Christmas trees was so beautiful and is something I recommend doing.

The Trend: Faux Fur Vests

I've come to love faux fur vests, however it adds so much extra bulk that it isn't flattering. The reality is the latest trend doesn't always look great on everyone, instead try to adapt it to best suit your body type. I found this vest at Gap recently (only $18!!) that has some fur-like detail on the collar instead of the entire vest. Pictures to come.

If the Shoe Fits

Party Pumps

You've found the perfect dress to wear to a holiday party, but now it's time to find the perfect pair of shoes. I'm in love with all of these shoes because they are a lot more fun than just a classic pair of black pumps. My favorites are #2 and 4. Which is your favorite?

I absolutely love these boots, and I think I probably wear then far too often. I purchased this shirt from Vestique recently and I love it paired with my new Jewelmint necklace.

Leather Detail

I wore this outfit on Sunday to church and out to brunch. When I found this skirt I instantly fell in love with it, and it was under $15. I love how the skirt has leather detailing and isn't entirely made out of leather (faux leather that is).

Vestique's Holiday Fashion Show

This past Thursday I attended Vestique's holiday fashion show with a co-worker. Vestique is one of my favorite local boutique's, and you could say that I'm slightly addicted to their clothing. They started out as an online retailer, and opened a store in October. Everything on their website and at their store is under $100 which helps my bank account. The customer service is fantastic, and the owners are NCSU grads which I love.  Check out the pictures below and all the clothing can be found here.

I can't wait for the next fashion show!
