The Trend: Floral Obsession

I've had a major obsession with floral print lately and I need a pair of floral jeans in my life ASAP. My favorite pair is definitely number 1 from AX Paris. I love that the print is a little more subtle and the colors are more versatile than are some of the others. I can definitely see myself mixing patterns and wearing a striped shirt with a pair of floral jeans. What do you think about this trend?

Purple Pleats

I purchased this top over the weekend and I instantly fell in love with the color and the pleats. My sister showed this shirt to me while we were shopping and I'm glad she did. This weekend was full of shopping, seeing friends and family, taking a brewery tour, and brunch. Hope you had a great weekend!

Neon Jacket

I'm really loving the neon trend and I was so excited when I found this jacket at H&M recently. I'd also like to introduce you to my new best friend...my Kate Spade bag! We went to visit my in-laws over the weekend and took these pictures downtown.

Wednesday's Cravings

Feeling Like Winter

It's finally feeling like winter in North Carolina, in fact it snowed the other day! North Carolina definitely has some strange weather; one day it's 70 degrees and the next it's snowing. I wore this outfit to go brunch with my husband and I was so happy I could finally wear my new winter coat.

Pink and Green

I really love pink and green together. So much in fact that it was our wedding colors. I wore this jacket before in this post and these shoes in this post. I've been in love with these shoes ever since I got them a few months ago, and I'm really loving the studs on them and the bag.

How To: Polka Dot Nails


I posted this picture on Friday and got a lot of compliments which really made my day. I've done this 'how to' post so you can do polka dot nails at home! It's very easy and more affordable than going to get your nails done at a salon.

What you need: Any 2 colors of your choice and a bobby pin.

Step 1: Apply 2 coats of your base color. I used Revlon's 'electric pink' which is a really beautiful color.

Step 2: Take your bobby pin and dip it into the nail polish to add polka dots over all of your nails. I used a white nail polish by Sinful Colors. The size and shape of the polka dots are more consistent when using a bobby pin instead of a brush.

Bright Blue Jeans

I've been obsessed with colored denim lately which you can see in this post. In addition to my red pair and blue pair I can't wait to also purchase these from H&M. Colored denim is a great way to make an outfit more bold and exciting. I wore this outfit over the weekend to lunch and to do some shopping.
