Fedora + Gemstone Earrings

My husband and I went to Wilmington, NC on Sunday for his Grandfather's 80th birthday. These pictures were taken in Wrightsville Beach (Think The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks) after the birthday celebration. It was such a nice day at the beach so we decided to take a walk to where he proposed to me a little over 3 years ago.

These gemstone earrings were sent to me by an online jewelry retailer, Anjolee. I love the color of these earrings and how classic they are. Head Scarf

I wore this outfit last weekend prior to my hair cut which I haven't shown you guys yet! Before my Grandmother passed away a few years ago I remember sitting in her living room with my sister and cousins and going through all of her scarves. I took a couple home with me but wasn't sure how to wear them since they are in a square shape. I finally realized it's perfect for tying into my hair and I'm loving it!

Happy Memorial Day! Today is one of the few holidays I get off from work and I plan on spending most of the day by the pool with my husband and sister. I purchased this skirt from H&M for a solid $18 (a definite steal). I'm obsessed with this skirt and the fact that it has pockets. Also, this is the necklace that I blogged about back in this post. I'm definitely loving it although it isn't as big as the J.Crew version...but I think that's a good thing.

Favorite Color Combo

Blue and yellow have become my favorite color combination. They look so gorgeous together I don't know why I didn't try it sooner. I wore this outfit to work and then had dinner with the fam and hubs. Side note, I love discovering old favorites like this skirt. I found it while cleaning out my closet a few weeks ago.

Date Night

The hubs and I get into a rut sometimes and just go to the same restaurants over and over again. On Friday, we decided to try out a new restaurant that has a lot of vegetarian options for me. Unfortunately, the portions were so small that we left hungry which is disappointing. Definitely don't think we'll be going back. We still had a great time and just laugh about it now. Neon Overload

I wore this outfit on Mother's Day to bring some color into the dreary day. My sister and I made breakfast for my Mom, we all went shopping, and then took my Mom out to her favorite Italian restaurant for dinner. It was a great day, but I think I'll like the day a little more when I'm a Mother myself ;-)

Wednesday's Cravings

Instead of giving you 5 different items I'm currently craving, this week I decided to do something a little different and do a splurge vs. save. I've been craving this necklace from J.Crew for quite some time, but couldn't take the plunge and spend $150 on it. Recently, I saw this necklace from Vestique which is a great alternative for only $30. In my opinion, they look almost identical...which means you know I bought the Vestique version already :)
