I wore this dress to work with a cardigan and then switched up my shoes and accessories for a sushi date with the hubs (we are slightly addicted). I've had this dress for over a year now and it's so versatile. I just have to make sure I coordinate with my co-worker since she has the same dress in pink.

DIY: Dip Dyed Shorts

About a week ago my sister and I decided to do our first ever DIY project. I had seen dip dyed shorts at a few places...but for $60. No thanks. So I bought a pair of capris at Marshalls for $14 and I cut them to my desired length since all the shorts I found were way too expensive and/or way too short.

*Be careful when using bleach and follow the directions on the bottle.

Step 1: You will need bleach, shorts, newspaper, and a plastic tub or bucket to pour the bleach in.

Step 2: Pour the bleach into the tub and then dip the shorts into the bleach.

Step 3: Let the shorts sit in the bleach for about 10 minutes or so. I used beach towel clips to keep the shorts secure. Then let the shorts dry on newspaper.

Meet My Best Friends

In college I was assigned a random roommate (Vanessa) and suitemate (Katrina). I seriously lucked out and Vanessa and I actually lived together throughout college. After almost 7 years (I feel so old), these two ladies are still my best friends and I love them so much. Katrina and I took a road trip this weekend to visit Vanessa in Washignton DC. We had a blast! We ate amazing food (including feta cheese that was set on fire at our table), we danced until our feet ached, and we shopped in Georgetown. I can't wait to have another girls weekend soon!

Rhinestone Collar

I wore this on Father's Day, and no one criticized my outfit (that's a first). I'm in love with this bag that Oasap sent me. The bow details on the side are so cute and it comes with a strap so you can wear it many different ways. This weekend I'm headed to D.C. to spend the weekend with my two best friends. My college roommate moved to D.C. about a year ago and it's almost been 4 months since I've seen her, needless to say I can't wait!! Pictures to come on Monday :)

Stripes and Neon

I wore this outfit on Thursday to the dentist and then to work (I live such an adventurous life). The people in the dentist office definitely did not appreciate my shoes and were shocked at how bright they are. Whatever, they are just in denial and were wishing they could rock some neon shoes (that's what I tell myself anyway).

Printed Shorts

I wore this outfit over the weekend and I'm definitely obsessed with these shoes! I had my eye on them for months and finally ordered them. They are really comfortable and were only $50 which is awesome. This weekend is my husband's family reunion so I'm thinking this outfit would be perfect since summer has definitely arrived in NC!
