Recently, I’ve decided to make a few changes in my life for a healthier lifestyle! One of the changes that I’ve made is that I’m actually starting to eat breakfast in the morning (even though I should have been eating it all along). They always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I do feel better and more energized when I actually eat breakfast. I’m usually in a hurry in the mornings so I needed to find the perfect breakfast that I can have in the car or at work. A breakfast smoothie is the perfect solution, and it has been a great way to start the day!
For our smoothies, my husband and I opt for using almond milk instead of juice or yogurt. We use Orgain Organic Protein Almond Milk® that I pick up at our local Walmart. Orgain Organic Protein Almond Milk® is organic, and has 10x the protein compared to other almond milks. This almond milk is what “What Almond Milk Should Be,”® and what I love is that it is vegan and gluten-free which makes it perfect for my family.
Here is the recipe that we use for our breakfast smoothie:
16 oz. of unsweetened or lightly sweetened Orgain Organic Protein Almond Milk®
4 scoops of chocolate protein powder
2 sliced bananas
Once you have everything measured, combine the ingredients in your blender, blend until smooth, and then enjoy! This recipe is for 2 servings.
