There's nothing better than a girls night in with some of your closest friends! What's even more fun is giving one of your friends a gift basket with all of the components to have a girls night in for Halloween! With Halloween right around the corner, I love the concept that I've been hearing about 'boo-ing' someone. You trick-or-treat your friends or family with a gift basket and just ask them to pay it forward. Such a fun concept, right?! Here are the steps that I took to put the basket together for a girls night in:

For my gift basket I first found my favorite Halloween themed basket at a local store (this one is from Harris Teeter). I then added a bottle of Robert Mondavi Private Selection Chardonnay to the basket along with spiced rum, sparkling water, and apples for a fall themed cocktail. I also included the cocktail recipe, fun Halloween themed paper straws, and a couple of wine glasses that I picked up at World Market. Then just give it to your friend or family member to enjoy!

Here's the cocktail recipe that I included in the gift basket. It's perfect to sip on with your friends while watching Hocus Pocus:

Apple Spice Sangria

1 bottle of Robert Mondavi Private Selection Chardonnay
1/2 cup of spiced rum
2 cups of sliced fresh apples
Sparkling water or club soda to taste
Ice cubes

Stir everything together and add the sliced apples. Chill for at least an hour, and serve with ice cubes. It makes about 6 servings. Enjoy!

Look out for the "You've Been Hallo-wined" instant redeemable coupons/mail in rebates that are available from 10/1-11/30. Some bottles also have a tag that has a poem about "You've Been Hallo-wined" and a Mummy's Mulled Wine recipe on back. How fun is that?! Happy Hallo-WINE, friends!
