Summer is almost here, which means it's concert season! One of my favorite things to do during the summer is to attend concerts in Raleigh with my husband. I really like that our love of country music is something that we have in common and it brings us closer together. We really enjoy going to country concerts during the summer, and getting lawn seats at the local amphitheater whenever our favorite performers are in town. We have a lot of memories together revolving around music and concerts, and I can't wait to make more memories this summer! After attending a number of concerts, I've come up with 5 must haves so that you are prepared for a summer concert:

1. Drinks

Concerts always involve tailgating, and one of my necessities for summer concerts is definitely bringing along beverages. The drink that's perfect to pack in a cooler for when you're playing corn hole with friends is Coca-Cola and Diet Coke. It's really refreshing and you can't go wrong with this choice! Right now Target has 20oz Coca-Cola bottles with over 70 song lyrics on them. It makes them even more perfect to bring for a concert! This summer, you will also have the chance to get exclusive Music Artist Content and a 25% off Cartwheel offer when you share your love of Coca-Cola and music. Make sure you tweet @ShareMoreMusic with your 20oz Coca-Cola lyric and use the hashtag #ShareASong. @ShareMoreMusic will respond with a link to access exclusive Music Artist Content and a 25% hidden Cartwheel offer on Target.com. This offer is perfect timing for summer concert season!

2. Sunglasses

Whenever you're going to a concert a pair of sunglasses is a must! There have been times I've forgotten them at home, and then immediately regretted it. Somehow, I'm always seated with the sun shining right in my eyes. I love this classic pair of aviators for summertime!

3. Blanket

If you're sitting on the lawn like we often do, bringing a blanket is a must! The amphitheater that we go to for country concerts has short chairs that you can rent, but it's always easier and cheaper to bring a blanket from home. How fun is this printed one below?!

4. Comfortable shoes

There's always a long walk from our car to the front entrance, and of course a lot of dancing during the concert! I've learned my lesson the hard way, and that it's important to wear a pair of comfortable shoes. I either wear sandals like these below or a pair of cowboy boots.

5. Backpack

I love bringing a bag that's big enough to fit all of my essentials. Backpacks are really trendy right now which is perfect timing for summer concerts. It's big enough to fit my blanket, but it's not too bulky either which I love!

  7. Summer concerts are always some of my favourite memories from year to year. These are such great tips! The blanket is definitely key (but it shouldn't be too nice if the venue gets muddy)!
