I’m in the middle of my 7 day challenge with Flywheel, so I thought I would share an update! If you missed my post last week about the challenge, you can read about it here. Over the course of the week I’m taking 3 Flywheel classes, and 2 Flybarre classes along with following a nutrition plan of clean eating.
Flybarre: I took a Flybarre class last Friday for the first time with Meghan and it was definitely a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. It uses light weights and core exercises to strengthen and tone your body. In addition to light weights we used resistance bands, the ballet barre, and a ball. It worked just about every muscle and it was a killer workout! I absolutely loved my instructor (Brooks who is pictured with me here) and I made sure that I would be able to take 2 classes with her this week. I know that it will get better as I continue doing this workout more often, and I definitely suggest it for toning (I joked with my husband that I feel like I should already have a 6 pack)!
Flywheel: Day 1 of the challenge was the first Flywheel class that I ever took! The Flywheel room has bikes set up like a stadium with everyone facing the instructor. Once you get setup on your bike (I had to ask for help the first time), the instructor turns off the lights and cranks up the music. The classes that I took were 45 minutes and you would be told to adjust your resistance on the bike and your speed periodically to hit certain targets. I was extremely nervous, but I have to admit that I absolutely love this
class! I think I’m definitely hooked on both Flywheel and Flybarre now.
If you haven’t taken a class before, there is an introductory offer of 2 classes for $21 for new accounts. I highly suggest it! Stay tuned for my final thoughts and results next week.
Thank you to Flywheel for giving me the complimentary challenge package.
All thoughts and opinions are my own.
