When it comes to weekday mornings, I'm always in a rush (aren't we all?!). I don't have a lot of time to spend on my make-up so I've learned what steps are important to me, and which ones can be skipped. I use 6 products by essence cosmetics in my routine that I pick up at Target. What I love about essence cosmetics is that they do not test on animals which is something that's crucial to me. They also invest in developing high-quality innovative products, instead of spending money on advertising on TV and in magazines. All of their products are high quality, they are on-trend, and are sold at affordable prices which is definitely an added bonus. Today I wanted to share with you my 5 minute makeup routine for the work week:
Step 1: I first start out by applying my favorite foundation. You can use whichever you prefer.
Step 2: Apply the shade 'team bright' all over your eyelids which you can find in the How To Make Bright Eyes Make-Up Box ($9.99). I love all of the neutral shades in this box, and this shade is one of my favorites.
Step 3: Apply the eyeliner waterproof pen ($2.99) to your upper lash line only. You can leave it in a perfect line, or you can smudge it a little bit which is what I did.
Step 4: Coat your upper lashes with I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara ($4.99). Mascara is one of my make-up must haves, and I don't feel like myself if I don't wear it! After trying this one out, I've actually decided that I'm going to stop purchasing the more expensive one that I've been using. This one has exactly the same results for a fraction of the price. It doesn't get much better than that!
Step 5: Add the Blush Up! Powder Blush ($3.99) to the apples of your cheeks. This color is the perfect pink and I think it would be great on a lot of skin tones.
Step 6: If time allows, sweep a little of the Soo Glow! Cream To Powder Highlighter ($3.49) on your upper cheekbones. Highlighter is something that I started using recently, and I love the way that it looks! You can also add a little bit in the inner corners of your eyes for a some shimmer.
Step 7: The final step is to add a coat of lipstick. I've been using essence cosmetic's longlasting lipstick in 'Nude Love' ($2.99). Nude lipstick is my favorite right now for the work week, and this color is the perfect nude!
Here's the final result:
