When it comes to putting together an outfit for the weekend, I always start with thinking about comfort. I spend the work week in dress pants which aren’t always the most comfortable, and they don’t feel completely me. Keeping comfort in mind, there are a few components that I have to have for my weekend outfits. Here’s how to put together the perfect one:
1. A Romper or a pair of shorts
North Carolina is hot and humid, which means that you will usually find me in a romper or a pair of denim shorts. It’s just too hot for pants right now unfortunately, unless of course you are in a cold office building. I absolutely love this plaid romper that I found on clearance. It’s so comfortable, lightweight, and the draw string waist is the perfect touch.
2. A smaller bag
When I’m running errands on the weekends, the last thing I want to do is tote around a large bag! They just always seem to get in the way when I’m shopping, so I like to use a smaller bag like this black one below. You can wear it on your shoulder like I am here, wear it as a crossbody bag, or take off the chain to convert it into a clutch for a night on the town.
3. Panama hat
With the humidity, it’s rare that I’m having a good hair day with this curly and frizzy hair of mine. To combat this, I’ll wear a panama hat on the weekends like I am here. It hides my bad hair day, while also keeping the sun off of my face.
4. Comfortable sandals
When I’m running around town, you won’t find me in heels. Instead, I opt for a pair of comfortable sandals. They are breathable which is key during the summer, and you won’t find my feet aching at the end of the day. I really love this metallic pair that I’ve been wearing on repeat.
5. vitaminwater zero
During the summer, it’s important to stay hydrated when you’re outdoors and when you are on the go. I usually carry vitaminwater zero with me because it tastes great while providing hard-working hydration, vitamins, and electrolytes. I pick up a variety of vitaminwater zero 20 oz bottles whenever I’m at Target. They sell many different flavors and colors, which is perfect to match to any outfit! It’s a great way to hydrate the hustle on the weekends. You can save 5% off now at Target.
