Breast Cancer Awareness with Carolina Brewery

Breast cancer is a cause that will always be really important to me. My Grandmother passed away from breast cancer, and my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer almost 2 years ago. 2015 was a really hard year with my Mom going through surgery, chemo, and radiation. She fought so hard the whole time, and now she can say that she is a breast cancer survivor! There is truly nothing better than that. She’s doing so well now and I’m thankful for that every single day.

With this said, I love supporting companies that raise money for this important cause. Carolina Brewery is one of them and they are hosting their 3rd annual Oktoberfest on October 1st in Pittsboro, NC. There will be a 5k that starts at 10 am (register here) and a party with beer, food, and 3 live bands. Sounds fun, right?! Carolina Brewery is also turning the caps of their Sky Blue Golden Ale six packs pink for the month of October which is so amazing (this also happens to be one of my favorite local beers)! The Race helps bring awareness to Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast and raises money to support the fight against breast cancer.

Meghan and I had the chance to check out Carolina Brewery this week and we had a blast! We were both impressed with their beer and their food. A big thanks to Robert for having us! If you’re in the area, you should definitely check out their Oktoberfest event on Saturday.

I lost my grandmother and my babysitter who was like a second mother to me to breast cancer so this is a cause very dear to my heart too. I'm so thankful your mom is now cancer free. What a blessing! I love Carolina Brewery, but I haven't been in a few years. I love seeing all the pink stuff in October!
