With baby girl on the way and only 3 months to go, I’ve been doing a lot of research on what items we need for when she arrives. I recently shared some items that we have registered for already, and I will definitely share our must have items once she is born. However today I wanted to talk about some newborn essentials to have on hand when it comes to bath time, and they would also make the perfect shower gift for a new Mama-to-be (you can also shop them directly by clicking the image above!). I have a lot of friends that are due around the same time as me which is really fun, so here are the items that I have in the gift basket:

1.Johnson’s Baby Bedtime Bath, Johnson’s Baby Bedtime Lotion, and Johnson’s Baby Shampoo Calming Lavender:

Right now at Target, you can find the exclusive design packaging on Johnson and Johnson baby bath products. These bottles are so fun to display in the bathroom, and they definitely make the perfect shower gift with their adorable designs. I really love Johnson and Johnson products because safety is their #1 priority, and they are best for baby standards with no parabens or phthalates. They are also hypoallergenic, and they aren’t tested on animals which is important. A bonus is that these bedtime products smell amazing too, and I can’t wait to use them once Baby W is here.

2.Safety Rubber Duck:

The bath water temperature feels different to us than it does for a newborn baby, so that’s where this safety rubber duck comes into play. You place the rubber duck in the bathtub and if it says ‘hot’ on the bottom then it’s too hot for a baby. Just wait a little while for the water to cool down or add some cold water before you start bath time. It’s such a good idea, and a great gift for a new Mom.

3.Hooded towel:

There is nothing cuter than a baby in a hooded towel! This one with the green stripes would be perfect for a boy or a girl, and I love that it says ‘squeaky clean’ on it. I’ve added a few to my registry, and they definitely make a great gift.

4.Washcloths:

These washcloths pictured below are great for a newborn baby girl. I really love the floral print and the pink stripes, and these washcloths are extra soft which is perfect for a baby.
