Exploring Graylyn

Last week I mentioned that Meghan, Glory, and I took a road trip to Winston-Salem for a girls weekend! We stayed at Graylyn (you can see our room here), and today I wanted to share some pictures of The Manor House which is the main part of Graylyn. Graylyn was built in the 1920’s and was owned by Bowan and Nathalie Gray, and it’s the second largest house in North Carolina behind the Biltmore. It sits on 55 acres and you can really spend all weekend at Graylyn exploring the grounds, the different rooms, taking a long walk, and spending time at the pool.

When we arrived we were given a really detailed tour by one of the butlers, Drew. It was interesting to learn about the history of each room, and to see how differently each room and each guest room is decorated. There’s also an ice cream room (I was in heaven!), a billards room, a lounge and bar area, and they also have a main restaurant where they serve breakfast and dinner each day. It was definitely the perfect place for a relaxing getaway!

An ice cream room?! I need one of those in my next house. ‎I love Me Too shoes so I need to check out those booties. Cute look!
