Dinner Spots in Raleigh

I mentioned last week that Robert and I have been going on as many dates as possible before Baby W arrives in two months! There are a couple of spots that we love in Cameron Village for dinner that we have been going to quite some time, even as far back as our college days which seems like a lifetime ago. Here are our two favorite restaurants:

Cantina 18:

The first spot that we love is Cantina 18 since we are both big fans of Mexican food and crave it all the time (I last mentioned Cantina 18 here). We shared a few different vegetarian dishes including black bean and avocado nachos which was my favorite, black bean quesadilla, chickpea masala vegetarian tacos which was Robert’s favorite, and the ‘make your own salad’ with avocado and queso fresco. Everything was amazing, and Cantina 18 also makes amazing mocktails for those who are mama-to-be’s! We also really like that this restaurant has two floors of seating, two bars, a patio space, and also another space that you can rent out for private events upstairs. It’s such a big restaurant which is definitely a bonus on a busy weekend!

Brixx Pizza:

Another spot that we love in Cameron Village is Brixx Pizza (I last mentioned Brixx here)! They have an amazing outdoor patio which is where we always like to sit whenever we go there for a date night. It has such a great atmosphere, and I love people watching while sitting outside too. We shared a few different dishes including the bruschetta, Mediterranean salad, Greek veggie pizza, and wood-roasted vegetable pizza. My favorite dish was definitely the bruschetta while Robert really loved the Greek veggie pizza. I also sipped on their blackberry iced tea which was really refreshing, and the perfect drink to have while sitting on the patio!

We had a great time at both of these restaurants and definitely recommend them for a date night or for a girls night!
