Baby girl will be here in just a few more months, so we’ve started our registry and we have also started buying items for her! I’m trying to get as much done as I can now, so that I can rest during the third trimester when moving around and getting things done might be a little more challenging.  I’ve started thinking about what the essentials are to have on hand when you are bringing home your baby from the hospital:

  1. Diaper bag:

I mentioned recently that we were on a hunt for a diaper bag that both my husband and I could carry. I didn’t want to have a diaper bag that was girly for his sake, so we decided on this black backpack which is going to be perfect! It will keep both of our hands free, it has a lot of different compartments, and it also has a changing pad that snaps into the front section which is convenient.

  1. Diapers:

There’s nothing worse than not having enough diapers with you, so we’ll make sure that we have plenty with us in our diaper bag. We’ve started purchasing diapers from different brands to see which will work best for her.

  1. Gerber® Pure® Water:

I hope to breastfeed, but I’m not sure what that journey will be like as a first-time Mom. With this said, we’ll have formula on hand because no matter what our priority is that she has a full belly. The water that we’ll use to mix with the formula is Gerber® Pure® Water that I pick up at Walmart, which is water, pure and simple, that can be used to mix with infant formula or cereal.

  1. Bottles:

I’ve also registered for a couple of different kinds of bottles to see which works best for baby girl. We’ll make sure to a couple of bottles with us in her bag to feed her.

  1. A change of clothes:

Not only do we need to make sure that we have enough diapers with us, but a change of clothes is also necessary. I’ve heard so many stories about not having a change of clothes when needed, so I’ll have a couple of different options in her bag. Her due date is around Christmas time, and my best friend gave us the cutest Christmas themed onesie when she was visiting a couple weeks ago. I can’t get enough of it, and how tiny it is!
