Today I’m excited to share Charlotte’s nursery with you! The nursery used to be my office, which meant that we had a lot of work to do to clean out the room before we could get started. Once it was cleaned out, we thought a lot about how the nursery was going to be decorated. We decided that we didn’t want it to have a theme, but instead we wanted the room to be bright, light, and feminine. We kept the walls neutral by painting them gray, and then added pink and gold accents with the bedding, artwork, and accessories.
To keep the room bright and light, we decided on white furniture and we absolutely love her white dresser that we use as a changing table, and her convertible crib. When it came time to pick out bedding, I heard such great things about Hello Spud! You can find their products at online and also at Buy Buy Baby, and they make such gorgeous pieces for nurseries. The quilt that we have with the pink and white stripes and flower detailing is just so beautiful. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it on their website and knew it would be perfect in the nursery! I also really love the organic cotton pineapple print fitted crib sheet with the quilt, and the white ruffle crib skirt is the perfect finishing touch. The bedding is soft and is such great quality, and it adds the feminine touch that we were looking for. Also, how cute is the pink pineapple toy?!
With her bookcase we of course have a lot of books to choose from (everyone gave a book instead of a card at my baby shower), and also some fun accessories. One accessory that we really like is the Hatch Baby Rest. It’s a night light, sound machine, and time-to-rise indicator all in one which we really love. The night light is perfect right now for late night feedings because the light isn’t too harsh, and one she’s a little older we are really excited about the time-to-rise indicator. The night light will turn green which will let Charlotte know that it’s ok for her to wake up for the day, which hopefully will allow us to get a little extra sleep (fingers crossed). You can also control the Hatch Baby Rest with their app, which is an added bonus and makes things so easy! I’ve been using their app lately to control the sound machine, which has been the only way we can get Charlotte to go to sleep lately sShe likes the wind sound which has been such a life saver for us!) It also has a fun cover with pink polka dots which goes perfectly with her nursery.
