Postpartum Essentials

Postpartum Essentials-@headtotoechic-Head to Toe Chic

I am 7 weeks postpartum today, which is a little hard to believe! I shared my pregnancy essentials for the first, second, and third trimester and I thought it would be fun to share my postpartum essentials for the ‘fourth trimester.’ Here is my very honest list of my essentials for my postpartum body:

Loungewear:

I’ve been spending a lot of time at home because Charlotte is still so young, and flu season is so bad this year. I’m trying my best to avoid both her and I getting the flu, so we’re spending time a lot of time snuggling and watching Netflix. Even though I’m at home, I do make an effort everyday to shower (if she lets me), put on a tiny bit of makeup, and change out of my pajamas. I don’t want to wear jeans or anything like that since I’m just hanging around the house (and jeans are super uncomfortable after a c-section), so I picked up a few pieces of loungewear at Aerie and Gap online (I picked up this, this, and this).

c/o Cake Maternity nursing bras:

I picked up a few nursing bras before I had Charlotte, but to be honest they aren’t my favorite. Cake Maternity reached out to me about trying out a couple of their nursing bras and they are seriously amazing. I have both this non-wire nursing bra and this sleep bra. They are both really comfortable, and easy to clip and unclip which is a big priority for when I have a hungry baby in my hands! I definitely recommend them if you’re in need of a new nursing bra.

c/o Bellefit corset:

To be completely honest, it was a little shocking to look at myself in the mirror after having Charlotte and it’s been an adjustment to get used to my postpartum body. I know that it’s going to take some time and some hard work to get back to where I was before, but it’s all 100% worth it. I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself, but one way that I’m getting back to my pre-pregnancy body is with the help of my Bellefit corset. It offers support which is much needed after having a c-section, helps speed up the recovery process, and also helps with posture and back pain. You can use the code ‘ANGELA20‘ for $20 off!

c/o Milkful Lactation bars:

I’ve recently been eating the Milkful lactation bars each day and I love them! They are the perfect quick and easy snack, and they are made with natural ingredients that help boost milk supply. They are also low in sugar which is great compared to lactation cookies!  I have the variety pack that includes blueberry almond coconut, maple walnut, and chocolate banana nut and they are all delicious. You can read more about the lactation bars here.
