What’s In My Hospital Bag

What's In My Hospital Bag-@headtotoechic-Head to Toe Chic

I spoke with some friends that delivered at the same hospital as me, and I also read different blog posts about what to pack in my hospital bag! I had a lot of people tell me that you don’t need to bring much, which is definitely a good thing. I packed my bag when I was about 35 weeks pregnant just in case, and here’s what I packed:

What I packed for me:

Robe– I brought the robe that I wore in this post from PinkBlush.

Toiletries bag– Face wash, make-up remover wipes, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, tooth brush, toothpaste, chapstick, dry shampoo, etc.

Make-up bag– foundation, concealer, powder. I decided to only bring the basics.

Slippers & slipper socks– They give you 1 pair of slipper socks at the hospital, but I brought a couple extra pairs to be safe.

Nursing tops– I purchased 2 of these nursing tops from Target.

Leggings– I brought along this pair of postpartum leggings from Blanqi.

Flip flops– For the shower.

Phone charger with extra long cord– Everyone said that there weren’t any outlets near the hospital bed, so it’s best to bring along an extra long cord.

Snacks-They don’t let you eat while you’re in labor, but once you’ve given birth you might be starving. If the kitchen is closed it might take a little longer to get some food according to someone I spoke with, so she suggested to bring some healthy snacks.

Nursing pillow– I brought my Boppy pillow.

What I packed for baby:

Going home outfit– We brought along 2 different outfits with us. One in a newborn size and one in a 0-3 month size since we weren’t exactly sure how big she would be.

Swaddle & headband– I packed these for pictures in the hospital.

Socks & hat– It is December after all, so she needs these to keep warm.

Blanket– My Mom learned how to crochet just for baby girl, which meant so much to me. We packed the blanket that she made to bring her home in.

Car seat– They won’t let you leave the hospital without this obviously, so make sure it’s already setup in your car.

*Our hospital provided diapers and wipes.
