Before having Charlotte, I was in the best shape of my life! I had lost a lot of weight, I was feeling great, and I was exercising daily. Once I got pregnant, exercising was really difficult for me right away. I was exhausted during the first trimester, and I had really bad back and pelvic pain that made it difficult to move during the second and third trimesters. I would go on walks around the block each night if I was able to, but that was about all that I could handle which was really hard. Fast forward to a couple of months after Charlotte was born, I tried following 21 day fix again, but it was too difficult to follow since she wasn’t on a schedule yet and was refusing to nap during the day. Now that she’s on a schedule, it makes life a lot easier and it gives me time to take care of myself! I want to start getting back into exercising slowly, and a great way to get back into things is starting with yoga.
CorePower Yoga is a hot yoga studio located in Cameron Village. They have classes for beginners, people that have been practicing yoga for a while, and they also have classes that include weights. They have the perfect variety of classes to choose from, and if you’re new you can try it free for a week. Yoga is a great way for me to get back into exercising again, while also stretching and strengthening my body at the same time! It’s definitely a great place to get started again in my fitness journey.
