One of my favorite things to do right now is to layer jewelry, especially when it comes to necklaces! I recently made a visit to Diamonds Direct in Raleigh to check out some of their pieces and experiment with layering. I thought it would be fun to share some tips that I have when it comes to layering different pieces of jewelry:
First, start our layering with either 2 or 3 necklaces at a time. You just want to make sure that they are different lengths, and wear a mix of pendants and long necklaces. I also like to layer with different metals instead of just sticking with either gold or white gold to make it a little more interesting! Lastly, I always like to make sure that one of the necklaces has a little sparkle to it too.
Bracelets & Rings
With bracelets and rings, the key to layering is to vary the size of the pieces. I love having one ring that is bigger than the others, and to have a bracelet in the middle of the stack that is wider than the others. If you want a more simplistic look though, then pick pieces that are all the same size and mix the metals instead. I think that gold, rose gold, and white gold look so gorgeous together and you don’t need to just pick 1 metal to wear at a time! The possibilities are definitely endless when it comes to layering.
With layering the key is definitely to have fun! You also have to keep trying things on to see what works best for you.
