How To: Polka Dot Nails

I posted this picture on Friday and got a lot of compliments which really made my day. I’ve done this ‘how to’ post so you can do polka dot nails at home! It’s very easy and more affordable than going to get your nails done at a salon.

What you need: Any 2 colors of your choice and a bobby pin.

Step 1: Apply 2 coats of your base color. I used Revlon’s ‘electric pink’ which is a really beautiful color.

Step 2: Take your bobby pin and dip it into the nail polish to add polka dots over all of your nails. I used a white nail polish by Sinful Colors. The size and shape of the polka dots are more consistent when using a bobby pin instead of a brush.

Let me know if you try it!

Bright Blue Jeans

I’ve been obsessed with colored denim lately which you can see in this post. In addition to my red pair and blue pair I can’t wait to also purchase these from H&M. Colored denim is a great way to make an outfit more bold and exciting. I wore this outfit over the weekend to lunch and to do some shopping.

Lace and Sequins

When I picked up this striped blazer at Zara, I also purchased this amazing clutch. It’s so different than anything else I own and I love all of the colors (especially since they are NY Mets colors!). I love the location of these pictures, it looks like a Europen village but it’s just down the street from our apartment.

Shine On

I love adding metallic pieces to an otherwise classic outfit. From nail polish, shoes, or a bag it’s so easy to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe. Also, you don’t have to stick to the basic gold or silver below, I love adding green or purple metallic into an outfit.
